About the Role:This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, with a caseload covering K-12th grade students. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, interpreting results, and providing insights to inform instructional planning and individualized education plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic skills, and social-emotional functioning.
- Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for instructional planning and intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and behavior management strategies.
- Provide counseling and support services to students individually or in group settings, addressing a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Consult with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders to foster effective partnerships and support students' overall well-being and academic success.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including 504 meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and contribute expertise in addressing students' needs and goal-setting.
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Proficient in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting assessment results.
- Sound knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of various behavioral intervention strategies and positive behavior support systems.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
