Job Summary

This role is responsible for working independently to prepare food, package, display, and stock meat products. The successful candidate will contribute to the financial best interest of the store, meet company guidelines for guest experience, and comply with company guidelines for safety and food safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Production: Prepare and produce meat products to meet production planner requirements.
  • Product Packaging and Labeling: Package and label meat products according to program plan.
  • Merchandising and Stocking: Merchandise meat products per flight plan and merchandising expectations, and stock backroom with meat products.
  • Inventory Management: Notify the meat manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as a team with other departments and stores to achieve growth in Family Fare retail stores.
  • Basic Math Skills: Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and division.
  • Communication: Communicate tasks, recipes, weights, and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates.
  • Safety and Food Safety: Follow all PPE and safety guidelines, food safety and cleaning expectations, and guest experience guidelines.
  • Additional Responsibilities: May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma (GED) preferred.
  • Experience: One year of retail or related experience preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents, basic mathematical skills, and detail-oriented.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
