We are seeking a highly skilled EOC Technician to join our team at the U.S. Army Chemical Materials Activity. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and planning normal operations and emergency response activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Compile all available information for daily toxic chemical operations and complete the BGCA daily work plan.
- Perform hazard analysis and computer estimates of downwind hazards emanating from toxic chemical operations.
- Coordinate with on and off post agencies to ensure continual readiness to respond to chemical accidents, incidents, and events.
- Evaluate multiple scenarios involving Maximum Credible Events (MCEs) and provide recommendations for implementation.
- Serve as the Commander's designated decision-making authority for off-post Protective Action Recommendations (PARs) and on-post Protective Action Decisions (PADs).
To be eligible for this position, you must meet one of the following employment authority categories:

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, which includes assisting in applying emergency management principles, performing administrative functions related to emergency or first response, and maintaining records related to hazards.
Alternatively, you may qualify with a Master's or equivalent degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a degree in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
A combination of education and experience may also be used to qualify for this position.
