Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant / Customer Service Rep is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing quality patient care and supporting clinical operations. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians in providing quality patient care, including vital sign measurement and standard testing.
- Communicate with patients and clinical staff to coordinate and schedule clinical visits.
- Review and interpret incoming clinical orders, inputting them into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) scheduling system.
- Perform follow-on procedures as directed by a provider, including onsite testing, specimen collection, and wound care.
- Assist with provider-performed procedures, such as suture application or splints.
- Collect and prepare testing specimens for transport to offsite laboratory.
- Document care into the electronic medical recordkeeping system (EMR).
Requirements:
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA or NCCT NCMA).
- Active Driver's License and access to transportation.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to lift supplies and equipment regularly and navigate clinical area actively throughout work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work experience in a clinical setting.
