About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Oncology Nurse to join our team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with cancer, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure well-coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with cancer, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient condition.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, including developing and revising plans as needed.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure well-coordinated patient care.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs, including arranging for post-discharge care and services.
  • Document patient care and progress in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date required.
  • Certification specializing in Chemotherapy preferred.
