The role of a Housekeeper involves ensuring that guest rooms, hallways, and public spaces within the hotel are kept clean and inviting. This includes daily servicing of guest rooms according to hotel standards, restocking the housekeeping cart with necessary supplies, changing bed linens, and replenishing amenities in guest rooms while adhering to company policies and safety protocols. Additionally, this position may require performing deep cleaning tasks in guest rooms alongside routine maintenance duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a friendly and service-oriented approach in all interactions with guests and team members.
  • Adhere to attendance standards as per hotel scheduling requirements.
  • Uphold high standards of personal grooming and appearance, including wearing the designated uniform and name tag.
  • Follow company standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Thoroughly clean and restock the designated number of guest rooms during each shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including preparing the housekeeping cart with guest supplies, cleaning products, and linens.
  • Remove all waste and soiled linens from guest rooms.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • May require disassembling furniture or items in guest rooms for deep cleaning purposes.
  • Deep cleaning tasks may include changing air conditioning filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, and repairing scratched furniture.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with experience in hotel or related fields.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to convey information clearly and evaluate alternative actions swiftly and accurately.
  • Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations.
