Job Summary:

Branch Builds is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Superintendent to lead our construction projects in the North Carolina and Virginia regions. This is a full-time position that requires extensive travel and a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement project schedules that meet company commitments and deadlines.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful project execution and identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure quality and schedule requirements are met.
• Manage and maintain accurate records of labor and equipment usage, costs, and quality control measures.
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a lead superintendent for a general contractor on projects over $15M.
• Extensive travel within the NC and VA regions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.

Work Environment:

The employee will be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee will occasionally be exposed to extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be required to talk or hear. The employee will frequently be required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee will occasionally be required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
