Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in various settings, including acute care, critical care, and rehabilitation.
  • Conduct respiratory assessments and develop treatment plans to meet patient needs.
  • Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Associate degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program.
  • State of Wisconsin license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA.
  • American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced specialty credential from the NBRC or Asthma Educator Certification (AE-C) from the National Asthma Educator Certification Board (NAECB).
