Location: Mahaska County YMCA

About Us:

The Mahaska County YMCA Child Watch program provides a safe and engaging environment for children while their parents or guardians participate in fitness activities or attend programs at the YMCA.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and care for children six weeks to 12 years old.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities that promote social interaction and physical activity.
  • Work flexible hours, including Saturdays 8:45 a.m. - 11:15 a.m., with additional days/hours available as needed.

Requirements:

  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children is preferred.
  • Certifications: No special certifications are required; CPR and First Aid certification will be provided.
  • Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Skills: Ability to engage and interact with children, ability to read/write English.
