The incumbent will oversee data governance, enhance operational efficiency across analytics functions, and manage the profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities. This role demands a strategic perspective, exceptional analytical and communication capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams to drive the execution of complex data requirements and generate actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a national operational and reporting strategy, focusing on transitioning to enterprise-standard tools, enhancing automation, and improving user experience.
  • Collaborate with clients and operational leaders to proactively identify areas for performance enhancement and resource allocation to meet client objectives effectively.
  • Promote the integration of business intelligence insights into strategic planning, resource distribution, and operational decision-making across the organization.
  • Create executive-level dashboards and reports to monitor progress against objectives and support data-driven decision-making at the leadership level.
  • Work closely with business leaders to incorporate data-driven decision-making into essential operational processes.
  • Guide team members through ongoing coaching, professional development opportunities, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Supervisory Duties

In accordance with company policies and applicable laws, the following supervisory responsibilities will be undertaken: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.

Direct Reports: Senior Director, Director

Indirect Reports: Director, Manager, Analyst IV, Analyst III, Analyst II

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

  • A comprehensive understanding of project/client service level agreements and expectations.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to consider a wide range of internal and external factors, recognize opportunities for success, and adapt actions to focus on critical issues.
  • Strong transformational skills and the capacity to drive change in a dynamic organization.
  • Ability to build effective relationships within Conifer and with client organizations, influencing senior leaders overseeing operations across multiple locations.
  • Deep understanding of the interplay between patient access, health information management, billing, and collections.
  • Extensive knowledge of revenue cycle metrics and drivers, particularly in billing and collections.
  • Analytical skills to utilize revenue cycle metrics to measure and drive results.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accountable for P&L management.

Education and Experience

A four-year degree in a relevant field with 5-7 years of experience in analytics and reporting, including demonstrated leadership experience, or 7-10 years of experience in analytics and reporting with proven leadership experience, or 7-10 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management with demonstrated leadership experience. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in a seated position, utilize a computer, and answer phone calls. Ability to travel as needed.

Work Environment

This position may involve working in both office and hospital environments.
