We are seeking a reliable and skilled Independent Contractor to join our team at Hackbarth Delivery Service, Inc. As a leading logistics and distribution company, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to operate a cargo van, sprinter van, or box truck to deliver goods to various destinations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and dispatch teams
  • Safely and efficiently operate a cargo van, sprinter van, or box truck to deliver goods
  • Ensure the secure and timely transport of cargo, following all safety and traffic regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to coordinate deliveries and maintain a high level of customer service
  • Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling and care
  • Operate smart phone and GPS technology without aid
  • Occasional furniture assembly and appliance installations may be required
Requirements
  • Must currently own/lease a cargo van, high roof van, or a box truck
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Automobile Insurance Requirements: A minimum of 100/300/100 or general coverage of $1,000,000,000
  • Contractors must live within a 30 to 40-minute radius of the terminal
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must meet background and drug screening requirements
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in the use of navigational devices
  • Professional delivery experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of local roads and routes
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy packages (Up to 50lbs)
  • Must be reliable and punctual
What We Offer

As an independent contractor, you'll enjoy flexibility, competitive compensation, and the chance to run your own transportation business with our support.

Earning Potential: Sprinter Van/16' Box Truck: $ per week.

Schedule: Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays. Start and end times may vary depending on the route.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and handle heavy packages (Up to 50lbs). Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments.
