Key Responsibilities- Transcribe medical dictation services into a word processing system
- Maintain files, medical reports, and other documentation for storage
- Train and orient new employees in the department and procedures
- Perform equipment troubleshooting and problem solving
- Act as Lead Medical Transcriptionist in the absence of supervisor
- One (1) year medical transcription or secretarial experience at a healthcare organization
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, English grammar, composition, and spelling
- Word processing experience and ability to type sixty (60) words per minute
