Phlebotomy Technician

Care for donors by preparing them for the pheresis process, monitoring their safety, and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.

• Prepare donors, donor areas, and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Operate the autopheresis machine and monitor the pheresis process.
• Respond to alarms and signals during the process and disconnect donors when complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and equipment usage using a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA).
• Link equipment and soft goods to donors and alert supervisors of flow issues.
• Accurately record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Understand hyper immune programs and maintain a clean, efficient work environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three months' work experience in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
