The Sanitation Team Member is a crucial role at Whole Foods Market, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment for Team Members and visitors. This position requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Clean food production spaces, including equipment and utensils, using hot water, cleaning chemicals, and scrub pads.
- Clean warehouse areas, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting, to meet company standards.
- Empty trash containers, replenish paper goods and supplies, and maintain accurate sweep logs.
- Perform duties as communicated by FSQA leadership and adhere to cleaning and maintenance schedules.
- Report all life safety and fire hazards, as well as any other violations of company policy, to facility leadership for correction.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Experience cleaning in the grocery/food industry or food manufacturing facility preferred.
- Able to work well without direct supervision.
- Able to operate all necessary equipment.
- Able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the facility, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must adhere to company dress code and standards of production kitchen dress and PPE (personal protective equipment).
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with reasonable accommodation.
Whole Foods Market offers a competitive wage range of $23.25 Hourly, commensurate with experience.
