Mental Health Therapist for Women

About the Opportunity
\\Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of women and families affected by mental health issues and substance use disorders? Do you possess excellent counseling and communication skills, combined with a strong background in behavioral health? If so, we encourage you to apply for the Counselor - Women's Program position at Licking County Alcoholism Prevention Program.\
\In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our multidisciplinary team, providing individual and group counseling practices to women clients who have mental health and/or substance use related barriers. You will design, implement, and evaluate treatment programs related to women's unique barriers, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, staff, and professionals.\\
\Key Responsibilities:\

- Provide counseling, ensuring that our programs align with the organization's mission and values.\
- Counsel clients in individual or group sessions to assist them in dealing with substance issues, poverty, unemployment, or physical abuse.\
- Design, implement, and evaluate treatment programs related to women's unique barriers.\
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge using person-center based practices.\
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress with respect to treatment goals. Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs on clients' progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives.\
- Meet with families, probation officers, caseworkers, police, or other interested parties to exchange necessary information during the treatment process.\
- Refer clients or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary.\
- Counsel family members to assist them in understanding, dealing with, or supporting clients.\
- Interview clients, review records, conduct assessments, or confer with other professionals to evaluate the mental or physical condition of clients.\
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain confidentiality of client information.

Requirements:
\\To be qualified for this position, you must have a minimum of an associate's degree in behavioral health and licensed as a LCDCII or LSW. Master's degree with appropriate credentials preferred. A successful applicant will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, general computer and office-equipment knowledge, and maintain confidentiality of our clients. Treat our clients and staff with respect. Have at least 1 year of demonstrated counseling experience in behavioral health. Minimum of an associate's degree. Must be licensed in good standing as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDCII) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW).\\
