AEGIS Security & Investigations Inc. is seeking experienced security professionals to join our team as Armed Security Officers. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular patrols of the property to prevent and detect signs of intrusions and ensure the security of all entry points.
- Monitor and regulate entrance and departure of site employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Investigate disturbances and answer alarms in a timely and professional manner.
- Respond to on-site emergencies by calling local law enforcement or other first responders as needed.
- Conduct pat-down and metal detecting searches as required.
- Communicate and enforce applicable laws, policies, and codes to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Interact with colleagues, supervisors, clients, client employees, visitors, and other persons at the work site in a professional and courteous manner.
- California Guard Card (BSIS permit), Firearms Permit (BSIS permit), and Chemical Agent.
- 40 hours of BSIS training courses and most recent annual refresher.
- One-two years of experience in high-end security, military, or law enforcement.
- A GED or High School Diploma/Transcript & Associates Degree or some verifiable college (preferred).
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Excellent ENGLISH verbal and written skills.
- Neat professional appearance.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- On-time attendance and integrity in work.
- Cell phone with text messaging and internet access.
- Black business suit, white button-down dress shirt, black tie, belt, socks, and dress shoes or shined boots, and a small flashlight.
- Staffing: Wednesday - Sunday, 2:30pm - 10:30pm in Miramar, SD.
- Start ASAP.
- Armed Guard pay ranges $22-24/hr depending on experience, qualifications, and assignment.
- Paid accrued sick leave.
- Holiday pay for specific holidays.
- 401(k), health, vision, dental, and life insurance available after applicable waiting period.
- Free and/or paid specialized training opportunities offered through AEGIS and our partners.
