Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Special Education Teacher Itinerant to join our team at the West Virginia Department of Education. As an Itinerant Special Education Teacher, you will play a critical role in providing educational support to students with visual impairments in Randolph County Schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
  • Provide instructional support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and resource rooms.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure that students with visual impairments receive a comprehensive education.
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as braille and adaptive technology.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to ensure that students receive the support they need.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • West Virginia teaching certification in Visual Impairment PK-AD.
  • Experience working with students with visual impairments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits
