We are seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our Sovereign Family Practice Clinic team in Ada, Oklahoma. As a key member of our Tribal Health team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive medical services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general and specialty care to patients of all ages, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of various ailments.
  • Maintain professionalism, courtesy, and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Oversee the preparation and disposition of timely and accurate medical treatment documentation.
  • Supervise personnel, allocating work, training, and resolving problems; evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions.
  • Attend department meetings, obtain minutes, and assume responsibility for information shared.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire new staff; facilitate their orientation.
  • Exhibit prompt arrival to duty station and adhere to employee code book for time and attendance.
  • Adhere to clinic policies and procedures.
  • Serve on committees and performance improvement teams as assigned.
  • Participate in continuing medical education as required by the Oklahoma Board of Licensure.
  • Ensure continuity of care for family medicine patients and request schedule changes, vacation, sick leave, and continuing medical education leave as needed.
  • May serve as an on-call physician for family practice patients and providers.
  • Consult with other providers in the Employee Health Clinics or other Tribal Health operations.
  • Provide comprehensive medical services, including diagnosis, physical examinations, and determining appropriate therapy for patients.
  • Manage therapeutic programs, convey information to family members, and support patients and family members while maintaining accurate records.
  • Adhere to Oklahoma State Board of Licensure rules for sponsorship of mid-level providers.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate Degree in Family Medicine or a related field.
  • Board Certification in Family Practice.
  • Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration Number.
  • Standard Driver's License.
  • Pass general background check.
  • Pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital or clinic environment.
  • Willingness to take a TB test.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
