Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Detention Officer to join our team in Clear Creek County, Colorado. As a key member of our law enforcement department, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our detentions facility. Your duties will include transporting inmates, acting as a court bailiff, supervising inmate workers, and ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce County laws, State and Federal Statutes.
  • Maintain the security of the jail by ensuring that all inmates are adequately confined.
  • Monitor and inspect cellblocks to ensure security.
  • Book in and Bond out prisoners as necessary.
  • Maintain inmate's cash accounts and update records on a predetermined basis.

Requirements:
Salary Range: $67,930 - $81,568 per year.
You must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License, certification for CPR and first aid, and Colorado POST certification is desired. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Work Environment:
Our facility operates in a potentially hazardous environment with risks such as assault by inmates, biohazards, fires, and disturbances. This position demands full attention and coordination of numerous tasks simultaneously. To excel in this role, you must be able to remain calm and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
