MRI Technologist

Welcome to Princeton Community Hospital Association, Inc., where we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care. We're seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team.
The MRI Technologist performs complex MRI procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares and explains exams to patients
- Performs all exams related to MRI procedures
- Maintains current knowledge of MRI procedures and safety protocols
- Assists physicians during MRI exams
- Processes exams and makes them available on PACS
- Demonstrates patient safety practices
- Delegates and evaluates the delivery of care given by peers and other healthcare team members
- Participates in self-evaluation and professional development
- Participates in the education and oversight of orientees, ancillary staff, and students
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification through ARRT or ARMRIT in MRI within 1 year of hire
- West Virginia State Licensure as MRI Technologist or MRI Apprentice, or applicable state licensure where services will be performed
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
- One (1) year experience in MRI
Preferred Qualifications:
- ARRT Certification in Radiography
Working Environment:
- Works in a strong magnetic field
- May be exposed to virus, disease, and infection from patients and specimens in the working environment
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of MRI procedures and safety protocols, organization skills, communication skills, computer skills, and multi-tasking
- Ability to prioritize and deal with a variety of situations at any given time
Additional Information:
This is a non-exempt position in the United States of America. The scheduled weekly hours are 4, and the shift is not specified. The cost center is 160 PCH Neuro MRI, and the company is Princeton Community Hospital Association, Inc.
