Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Obstetrician and Gynecologist to join our team at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria. As a key member of our department, you will provide comprehensive health care in both inpatient and ambulatory settings, including actively participating in the educational and clinical training of residents and medical students.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in obstetrics and gynecology, encompassing both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Actively participate in the teaching of residents and medical students in the context of clinical obstetrics and gynecology, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
  • Engage in scholarly activities.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • MD or DO.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to teach residents and medical students.
  • Experience or interest in research and academic leadership preferred.

Academic offices are connected to a quaternary care hospital with a Level I Trauma Center, one of the most comprehensive neuroscience centers in the Midwest, and the largest children's hospital in downstate Illinois. Faculty also have access to a world-class medical simulation center.
