Material Handler

Waste Management is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sorter to join our team. As a Sorter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate sorting of materials on our conveyor line.

• Inspect materials and sort items into piles or containers according to type, size, condition, and other relevant factors.
• Pull contaminants out of paper or off the floor.
• Stack boxes and skids, and dump boxes and totes of material.
• Feed material onto the conveyor line.
• Clean up the conveyor line and surrounding area, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Read the monitor to ensure the machine is operating properly and at a moderate speed.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operating and maintaining equipment.
• Report any worker-public safety factors and/or equipment malfunctions.
• Attend weekly/monthly safety/operations meetings.

• 3 months of relevant work experience.
• No education requirements.
• No special certifications or licenses required.

The Sorter will work in an outdoor environment with exposure to physical occupational risks, including cuts, burns, and exposure to weather extremes. The expected base pay range for this position is $19.93.
