As an Avionics Technician II specializing in F-16 production, you will play a crucial role within the Lockheed Martin Greenville Production Team. This team is dedicated to the assembly line operations, focusing on the installation of electrical harnesses and wires, conducting continuity tests, and executing soldering and termination tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Install electrical harnesses and components, ensuring proper routing of various wires and cables.
- Terminate cables and wires while performing thorough operational checks.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems as needed based on your assigned area.
- Occasionally assist with general mechanical installations, testing, and inspections.
Essential Qualifications:
To succeed in this position, you must be able to:
- Understand and interpret documents such as safety protocols, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Utilize your hands for grasping, handling, and reaching, while also being able to communicate effectively.
- Engage in physical activities including standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and working in or on aircraft.
- Lift and/or push up to 25 pounds regularly, with the ability to occasionally handle up to 50 pounds.
- Perform repetitive tasks and work overhead safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards.
- Handle hazardous materials and chemicals in compliance with government regulations and company policies.
Vision Requirements:
This position requires specific vision capabilities, including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Personal Protective Equipment:
While performing essential functions, you will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-8 years of experience in operational testing of aviation electronics, wire routing, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in understanding complex circuit diagrams and specifications.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with F-16 or other fighter avionics systems, including wire routing and installation.
- Familiarity with electrical, radio, and radar testing equipment.
- Background in military or commercial aircraft modification, particularly in wire harness installation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals effectively.
- Capability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
Work Environment:
This position requires onsite work at a designated Lockheed Martin facility, with multiple shifts available to accommodate various schedules.
