About the Role
This is a hybrid role, requiring hours in the office and virtually. You will be based in Jericho, NY, with our satellite office in Westchester (Harrison), NY. You will work in a congenial, team-oriented, and professional environment with skilled support staff. Your work arrangements could change over time based on business needs.
Responsibilities
* Handle a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial* Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures* Possess outstanding research abilities, written and oral advocacy skills, and ability to independently manage a busy time-sensitive caseload* Work in a hybrid role, requiring hours in the office and virtually* Collaborate with skilled support staff in a congenial, team-oriented, and professional environment* Adapt to changing work arrangements based on business needs
Requirements
* Law degree from ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials* Active license to practice law in New York and be a member in good standing with the state bar* 1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience* Experience working in a paperless environment* Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling* Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation* Potential salary range: $125,625.00-$160, starting salary will be based on background and experience* Potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary (results may vary from year to year)
