Job Title: Protection and Controls Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Protection and Controls Engineer to join our team at Senergy. As a key member of our Substation division, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and coordinating Protection and Controls projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop substation relaying and metering diagrams, including A.C. and D.C. schematic diagrams.
  • Prepare specifications and Bills of Material for Protection/Control/Metering/RTU/Communication Panels.
  • Develop schematic diagrams for SCADA and Communications interfaces, including RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs.
  • Develop protection and control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet schedule and scope requirements of the contract and communicate with the project manager any risks in the engineering design project.
  • Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Perform quality control reviews of work developed by other team members.
  • Participate in development of technical proposals, providing estimates for the engineering budget.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • PE Certification and 8 years' experience in Protections & Controls for the Energy industry.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
