Warehouse Selector Job Description

At US Foods, we're committed to helping our customers make it. As a Warehouse Selector, you'll play a critical role in preparing orders that sustain our business. Your safety and productivity will be our top priorities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Select customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity and accuracy standards
  • Perform pre-shift equipment checks and operate electric pallet jacks safely
  • Move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
  • Validate product selection and ensure damage-free orders
  • Deliver products to the correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders
  • Team up to clear aisles of debris, stack empty pallets, and return pallet jacks to charging areas
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a multi-temperature environment (-5° to over 100°)
  • Comfortable lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively
  • Ability to read and communicate in English for trainings, conversations, and safety coaching
  • Recent experience in high endurance or highly physical activity (e.g., lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work)
  • Experience selecting large-scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment
