Electrical Engineer - Industrial Controls Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with experience in industrial controls to join our team at Actalent.

This role requires a strong understanding of 3-phase power, VFDs, and basic motor control, as well as the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting complex electrical circuits and providing in-house technical support when not on the road.

Trips are usually 2-3 days at a time and up to 2 weeks out of the month (overnight travel is expected 3-4 days per month).

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement industrial control systems
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical circuits
  • Provide in-house technical support
  • Travel up to 50% of the time
Requirements:
  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering / Industrial Controls
  • Understanding of 3-phase power, VFDs, and basic motor control
  • Advanced schematic reading and understanding of wiring diagrams
  • Understanding of PLC ladder diagrams, troubleshooting, and program edits
  • Experience with 3-phase industrial motors and reduced voltage starting
  • Knowledge of UL 508A standard (preferred)
