Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a Travel RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekend)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Qualifications:

  • Active TN RN License
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • Strong critical thinking abilities, with skills in EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips
  • Experience with bipap machines, high-flow oxygen, and various oxygen delivery systems
  • Proficient in stroke care and post-cardiac catheterization management
  • Familiarity with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tube management
  • Preferred experience in peritoneal dialysis and peripheral IV placement

Additional Information:

  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Flexibility to float between PCU units or to medical-surgical floors as needed
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5 during the day, 1:5 to 1:6 at night
  • Unit Staffing: 3 techs available when fully staffed on PCU 630, and 2 techs on PCU 633
  • Equipment Utilized: bipaps, high-flow oxygen, vapotherm, Alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, and peritoneal dialysis equipment
  • Patient Experience Standards: hourly rounding during the day, every 2 hours at night, AIDET communication, and maintenance of communication boards

Estimated Weekly Compensation: $1819 based on qualifications and experience. This rate applies specifically to travel positions located more than 50 miles from the candidate's permanent address.
