About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our R&D team in Mentor, OH. This is a 6-month contract position with a competitive hourly rate of $35-$45.

Job Description

The successful candidate will support mechanical systems, testing initiatives, and hydraulic applications in our state-of-the-art R&D Test Lab. Collaborating closely with experienced engineers, you will enhance lab capabilities, conduct critical development and certification testing, and contribute to innovative aerospace projects.

You will work collaboratively with the R&D Lab team, taking direction from senior engineers on active projects, and design pressure, flow, and spray test stands and upgrades focusing on improved automation using control valves and pressure & flow sensors.

Develop and improve test stand control hardware and safety circuitry to enhance operational efficiency. Assist calibration efforts for lab and production test stands to ensure accuracy and reliability.

As a key member of our High-Performance Team, you will actively participate in various functions as needed and present project plans, data, and results to the team, generating detailed reports to facilitate informed decision-making.

You will also support fellow engineers with projects and tasks, fostering a collaborative work environment, and maintain a safe working environment adhering to a zero-incident culture.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is required. Strong experience in mechanical systems design, fabrication, and troubleshooting is essential.

Excellent skills for presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, along with precise scientific documentation abilities, are a must.
