RF System Engineer Job Description

At Apple, we're seeking a highly skilled RF System Engineer to join our growing wireless silicon development team. As a key member of our organization, you'll be responsible for specifying, developing, and validating state-of-the-art wireless silicon for our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop complete RF specifications governing silicon and module-level designs, working closely with partner teams.
  • Design innovative RF architectures to achieve best-in-class performance, power, and area.
  • Introduce RF system features with digitally enhanced innovations.
  • Produce RF line-up specifications in collaboration with the RFIC design team.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure for system-level simulation and system verification.
  • Validate silicon and drive revisions to ensure compliance with RF system specifications.
Requirements:
  • Industry experience in RF system specifications, developments, and validations.
  • RF system engineering expertise, including familiarity with RF transceiver architectures and line-up analysis.
  • Working knowledge of RFIC architecture, design concepts, and techniques.
  • Deep understanding of key RF performance metrics and tradeoffs.
  • Familiarity with wireless/cellular standards, such as IEEE 802.11, 802.15, Bluetooth, or 3GPP.
  • Hands-on experience with RFIC system validation methods and test equipment.
  • Strong working knowledge of MATLAB, SimuLink, SystemVue, or ADS.
  • Prior experience working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MSEE and/or PhD.
  • Familiarity with Python coding.
