Job Title: Senior Data Engineer in Test

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Engineer in Test to join our team at Fortive Corporation. As a Senior Data Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for testing enterprise data warehouse solutions and ensuring the quality of our data engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test backend data gathering and transformation routines as well as associated applications that make this information available to other Accruent products.
  • Develop test strategies for Epics and Features.
  • Work with internal users in a requirements analysis role.
  • Experience validating data flows, data cleansing, and transformation routines.
  • Understanding of data integration issues (such as the validation and cleaning of data).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong focus on Agile methodology.
  • 5+ years of experience triaging issues that arise from testing by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to determine root cause.
  • 3+ years of experience writing queries in Oracle, SQL Server, and Snowflake.
  • 3+ years of experience verifying data warehouses and data flows using tools such as DBT.
  • 3+ years of experience with Python, Prefect, and test automation frameworks such as Robot.
Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Working knowledge of logical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional).
  • Familiarity with Azure and PaaS concepts.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps pipelines in Azure.
