MRI Technologist

This position performs high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to create detailed images of tissue, organs, and other body parts. The MRI Technologist plays a crucial role in assisting radiologists in detecting abnormalities, making diagnoses, and treating patients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for MRI exams, explain procedures, and administer contrast when necessary.
- Position patients correctly for the MRI scanner, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of the scan.
- Enter and monitor patient data, perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment, and maintain accurate records.
- Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
To be successful as an MRI Technologist at Memorial Hermann Health System, you must have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Current certification in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Registration as an MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- At least one year of experience in MRI technology, with a strong understanding of imaging principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
