Staff Nurse Per Diem

Harbor Health Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Staff Nurse to join our per diem pool at our community health center locations. As a Staff Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing services to patients in accordance with Massachusetts State Laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist providers and care team members in caring for patients
  • Perform routine nursing care to patients, utilizing age-specific guidelines and standard precaution practices
  • Provide patient teaching for all patients and families
  • Develop and implement comprehensive plans of care in conjunction with the care team and/or provider
  • Administer medications and vaccinations to patients as ordered by the provider or following standing orders policy
  • Assess patient information and record pertinent details in the medical record
  • Communicate effectively with all staff, patients, and families
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a nursing program (RN), BSN preferred
  • Current MA RN License and current BLS certification required
  • Experience in a community health setting, ambulatory care, or health insurance environment preferred
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Knowledge of EPIC/OCHIN EMR preferred
  • Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team setting and independently
  • Ability to work effectively with economically, racially, and linguistically diverse customers
