Overview
The M365 Solutions Architect / SharePoint Specialist plays a pivotal role in the dual capacity of developing SharePoint Online solutions and overseeing Microsoft 365 administration. The primary focus is on managing a robust M365 ecosystem that includes SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Teams. Candidates should possess a strong command of administering Power Platform and Teams alongside SharePoint Online.

In this role, you will have the chance to lead comprehensive solutions, collaborating with business stakeholders from project inception to understand objectives, propose solutions, and deliver system designs before development commences.

Your responsibilities will also encompass daily administration support and troubleshooting for staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage SharePoint 2019 On-Premise Farm, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of existing SharePoint environments.
  • Develop solutions adhering to established SDLC practices, initiating in a User Acceptance environment, validating the solution, and subsequently deploying to Production.
  • Conduct monthly patching, daily monitoring, ensure security compliance, and provide tier 3 support for incident tickets.
  • Monitor application and environment performance, troubleshoot issues, and assist in optimizing SharePoint application resources.
  • Plan, document, and execute annual disaster recovery testing.
  • Utilize migration tools and PowerShell to transition solution-ready content to Production and refresh Production content to lower environments.
  • Support the migration of SharePoint environments from on-premise to cloud-based M365 tenants and other SaaS applications.
  • Collaborate with site owners and stakeholders to facilitate content and solution transitions, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Engage with knowledge services, site owners, and business analysts to gather requirements and contribute to the development of functional and technical specifications as well as implementation strategies.
  • Maintain sufficient storage by performing data clean-ups and archiving logs.
  • Review usage and activity reports, making necessary adjustments to enhance user experiences.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of training materials and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements through automated workflows and updated operating procedures.
  • Participate in rotational on-call duties for effective escalation of priority incidents, maintaining ownership until resolution or proper transition to the relevant technical owner.
Required Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in SharePoint Development
    • Strong expertise in SharePoint Online Development is essential.
  • Proficient in SQL Server.
  • 2+ years of experience in M365 Administration
    • Emphasis on SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Sharegate and SharePoint Essentials Toolkit.
  • Experience with PowerShell and/or SharePoint Management Shell.
  • Development experience in JavaScript, jQuery, and/or ReactJS.
  • Knowledge of REST and/or XML.
  • Experience with Azure SQL.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with PowerApps.
  • Knowledge of other collaboration tools such as Sway, Planner, Stream, and Viva.
