Key Responsibilities:

As a supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all installation activities on-site related to the system (Turbine, Generator, BOP, EPS).
  • Ensuring the safe and efficient execution of installation tasks in line with project timelines and specifications.
  • Safeguarding the interests of ANDRITZ during on-site operations.
    • Willingness to relocate to various hydro sites across the United States for both short-term and long-term projects is essential.
Main Duties:
  • Supervising installation activities in accordance with contractual specifications, technical drawings, and installation guidelines.
  • Engaging in hands-on installation and managing the installation team to achieve project objectives.
  • Ensuring that the workforce is adequately qualified to execute tasks as per specifications and ANDRITZ best practices.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate site activities and manage interface points.
  • Optimizing site manpower and controlling costs effectively.
  • Conducting risk assessments for planned activities, ensuring safety coordination, and implementing health, safety, and environmental measures.
  • Monitoring progress and processes in line with detailed site schedules and project specifications.
  • Performing inspections, measurements, and preparing installation documentation and test reports.
  • Reporting site non-conformities and technical issues promptly, and maintaining records for potential claims.
  • Managing the receipt of goods, coordinating inspections, and ensuring proper storage and maintenance.
  • Documenting accidents and incidents critical to safety (near misses).
  • Preparing daily logs and contributing to weekly/monthly installation activity reports.
  • Ensuring timely acquisition of all necessary manpower, tools, equipment, and devices for installation processes.
  • Compiling actual drawings and installation documentation.
  • Handling components safely and professionally.
  • Coordinating the handover of spare parts and project tools with the Site Manager.
  • Providing on-site training to client personnel as required.
  • Collaborating with other site staff, including Installation Supervisors and Commissioning Coordinators/Engineers.
  • Contributing to the preparation of final as-built drawings.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in a supervisory or managerial role related to Hydroelectric Turbines, Generators, Balance of Plant, and/or Electrical Power Systems.
  • Experience in managing large, complex construction projects.
Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards.
  • Familiarity with relevant ISO Standards.
  • Understanding of applicable US Standards.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and procedures.
  • Capability to comprehend contract requirements.
  • Proficiency in identifying non-conformances and organizing work accordingly.
  • Experience with LMS, QCS, and other site-related software.
