Job Summary

The clinical staff at Premier Health are responsible for delivering high-quality patient care under the direction and supervision of our physicians and/or providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist providers with patient care, including order entry, reporting, phone calls, clerical, and organizational tasks
  • Perform procedures such as venipuncture, administration of injections, pulmonary function tests, ear irrigations, ultra sound therapy, muscle stimulation, hot/cold packs, EKGs, breathing treatment, x-rays, lab testing, holter monitoring, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests
  • Assist with surgical and medical procedures, e.g. minor wound repair, foreign body removals
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent certificate
  • Medical Assistant applicants must have successfully completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and/or obtained certification through a recognized certifying organization
  • Licensed Practical Nurse applicants must have successfully completed a practical nursing and pharmacology program and maintain current state licensure with CNE requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in ambulatory healthcare facilities
  • Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians
  • Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards
Additional Requirements
  • CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA law
