Clinical Linguist

As a clinical linguist at Wisteria Place, a skilled nursing facility in Abilene, TX, you will play a critical role in evaluating and treating patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. This is a per-diem position offering flexible scheduling and competitive pay rates. Our speech-language pathologists work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to develop individualized plans of care that address communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

• Evaluate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modify services as needed.
• Consult and counsel patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to speech disorders.
• Document all required information in our electronic documentation system and maintain patient records according to company policy.

To be considered for this role, you must be a licensed Speech/Language Pathologist with experience working with adult populations. This position is open to therapists at all experience levels, and we offer opportunities for training and continuing education in areas such as dysphagia, dementia, and stroke rehabilitation.
