Position Title:
Medical Assistant - Ambulatory Staffing Development Program

Department Overview:
Opportunities available in both primary care and specialized clinics, including but not limited to Cardiology, Orthopedics, Urology, and Neurology. This role offers potential for professional growth within a clinical ladder framework.

Employment Type:
{WorkType}, 1.0 FTE, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Work Schedule:
Full-time Days, with various shifts available. Compensation: $26.34 per hour, based on relevant experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Medical Assistant certification or registration (Medical Assistant I) is preferred. Candidates may be considered for the Medical Assistant role without certification if they have: 3 years of Medical Assistant experience or are graduates of an accredited medical assistant program.

Certifications:
BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer is required before the start date. BLS or CPR certification must remain valid for at least sixty days post-hire.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Medical Assistant, you will:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse or healthcare provider.
- Prioritize patient wellness and perspectives.
- Mentor new staff and support their integration into the healthcare environment.
- Collaborate effectively with specialized ancillary team members.
- Embrace new knowledge in a dynamic clinical setting.
- Contribute to maintaining safety and quality in patient care.

Direct Care Duties Include:
- Collecting vital signs and specimens.
- Communicating changes in patient conditions.
- Ensuring care areas are stocked, clean, and organized.
- Maintaining medical equipment and supplies.
- Performing administrative tasks such as filing, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
