NVH Engineer

Job Summary

At ICONMA, we are seeking a highly skilled NVH Engineer to join our team in Foster City, CA. As a key member of our Vehicle Integration Engineering group, you will play a critical role in ensuring our autonomous vehicles provide a premium ride experience for our customers.

About the Role

In this position, you will lead NVH tests and use data-driven insights to drive decisions, ensuring the right level of quietness for our customers. You will work closely with a team of world-class engineers with diverse backgrounds in robotics, controls, and vehicle engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle- and bench-level testing to assess and predict NVH performance on complete vehicles.
• Perform experimental test methods such as transfer path analysis to quantify and rank noise contributions.
• Develop and refine testing methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Document test procedures, results, and analysis in detailed reports.
• Determine the impact of proposed designs, problem root cause, and develop countermeasures.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of automotive or related NVH development experience.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study.
• Excellent understanding of acoustics and vibration principles.
• Experience in vehicle-level NVH development and integration.
• Hands-on experience with vehicles, instrumentation, and data acquisition.
• Experience with acoustic and vibration test equipment and data analysis software (LMS, Test Lab, HEAD Acoustics ArtemiS, etc.).

Bonus Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
