Home Health Care Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Health Aide to provide personalized care and support to our senior residents in various communities. As a Home Health Aide, you will be responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Support residents with mobility and transfer needs
- Administer medications as directed
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the nurse or Executive Director
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry
- Engage residents in activities and provide companionship
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in healthcare or geriatrics
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment:
This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and push/pull equipment frequently. The employee is expected to possess good organization skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The employee must be compassionate and empathetic. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee may frequently bend, reach, grasp, and climb. The employee may need to squat and kneel. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
