Welcome to Medstar Health, a Magnet designated institution. The Emergency Department is a 62-bed facility, featuring 18 fast track beds and a dedicated Stroke Resuscitation team. Medstar Health is recognized as a STEMI receiving and Comprehensive Stroke Center, handling approximately 70,000 patient visits annually, catering to a diverse patient demographic. This role offers invaluable experience in caring for patients across all age groups with a wide range of medical conditions. Candidates must possess at least one year of acute care experience and hold a valid Maryland or compact state license.

Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide expert nursing care to patients and their families, addressing needs that vary from straightforward to highly intricate. You will:

  • Identify current and potential complex issues within specific patient populations.
  • Critically analyze trends and changes in patient conditions.
  • Plan and implement appropriate interventions, either directly or through collaboration with other nursing staff.

Qualifications

- LPN from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
- Prior clinical nursing experience is preferred.
- Active MD LPN License or Active Compact State LPN and Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare providers are required.
