Electrical Engineer

At Enercon Services, we're seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Nuclear Power Group, you'll play a vital role in coordinating with diverse disciplines, reviewing designs, and managing projects with autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and possess the ability to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines
- Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors
- Prepare design studies, project scopes and engineering estimates
- Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight
- Prepare electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and evaluate technical bids and select equipment
- Devise new approaches to technical problems
- Travel and participate in field installation, checkout, and start-up
- Direct and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintain quality standards of all assigned projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Electrical Engineering design
- Experience supporting modifications of Nuclear Power Plants preferred
- Experience in electrical codes, standards and criteria for power systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of electrical calculations is desired
- Makes recommendations based on knowledge and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills
- Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
- Uranium enrichment facility experience, or equivalent nuclear facility experience, is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with NRC regulatory requirements, particularly 10CFR70 is preferred
- Ensures plant designs contain adequate safety features based on best nuclear industrial facility practices and lessons learned
- The ability to lead and mentor an engineering team is highly desirable and preferred
- Ability to periodically travel to New Mexico is required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" security clearance. A current DOE clearance is preferred
