Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our team at WellStar Health System, Inc. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Services department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of technical procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography, to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Position patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, including X-ray machines and computed tomography scanners.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • ARRT Radiography certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
