Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and of high quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate procedures
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as needed
  • Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions and position patients for MRI scans
  • Assist radiologists with procedure performance and evaluate MRI scans for technical quality
  • Maintain accurate patient records and understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
  • BLS certification
  • ARRT National certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging
  • State-specific licensing when required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
