Job Title: Drain and Plumbing Technician

We are seeking a skilled Drain and Plumbing Technician to join our team at Maxwell Plumb Mechanical. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by performing drain cleaning, repair, and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform drain cleaning, jetting, and cable work related to in-home service calls.
  • Provide camera service for every mainline stoppage within 24 hours of the report.
  • Establish customer rapport to provide the right products and services.
  • Educate and assist customers on the importance of sewer repair and replacement.
  • Help customers select the right maintenance plan and understand warranty information.
  • Explain reasons for blockage and illustrate how you will resolve the issue.
  • Understand your service criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
  • Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business.
  • Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure the overall success of the business.
  • Protect drain cleaning and camera equipment and keep a well-inventoried truck.
  • Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats.
  • Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs.
  • OSHA/SST required.
  • Be accurate and timely with invoices, time cards, curbside feedback, and options sheets.
Requirements:

Previous experience in drain cleaning or related field preferred. Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including climbing, digging, and lifting heavy objects. Proficient in using cabling machines, hand tools, and heavy equipment for drain maintenance and repair. Familiarity with fiber splicing techniques for underground drainage systems is a plus. Knowledge of safety procedures when working with high voltage equipment is essential. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
