Medical Collector Specialist

Join TalentBurst in Franklin, TN as a Medical Collector Specialist where you will collect blood samples from patients with skill and accuracy. With three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections, you will be responsible for performing daily activities accurately and on time. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, but medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
- Creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
- Maintaining a safe and professional environment.
- Verifying patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
- Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
