Position Overview
- Acts as a specialist in the roles of practitioner, consultant, educator, and healthcare professional.
- Enhances clinical and financial outcomes for key patient demographics through collaboration with physicians and staff, and by engaging in strategic initiatives.
- Ensures competent and ethical care for patients and their families.
- Works closely with the supervising physician and clinic personnel to maintain a high standard of customer-focused, nursing, and medically appropriate patient assessment, care plan development, implementation, follow-up, and cost-effective service delivery.
- Encourages community involvement and collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program.
- Preferred experience in Family Practice, though training is available.
Licensure/Certification Requirements
- Current South Dakota license corresponding to the degree.
- Federal and State DEA certification is mandatory for Physician Assistants in South Dakota.
- National Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCPPA) is required.
- ACLS and CPR certifications are preferred.
Work Schedule
- Flexible shifts as needed; PRN opportunities available.
