About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team at GEO Corrections & Detentions. As a key member of our outpatient mental health program, you will be responsible for providing a range of mental health services to inmates, detainees, and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct mental health interviews, screenings, and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group counseling, as well as case management services to ensure continuity of care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with organizational and state standards
  • Consult with security, medical, and classification departments as needed
  • Respond to psychological emergencies and provide crisis intervention
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in a mental health-related field, such as Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
  • State licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Mental Health Counselor
  • At least one year of experience providing mental health services in an institutional setting
  • Strong counseling and motivational skills, with the ability to work in crisis situations
