Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Pet Care and Management

Ensure the health and well-being of all puppies and kittens in our care, monitoring their daily needs and maintaining accurate records.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Perform thorough cleaning procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment for our animals, following established protocols and guidelines.

Animal Nutrition and Socialization

Provide proper nutrition, socialization, and enrichment activities for our pets, adhering to company standards and best practices.

Assistance with Veterinary Care

Work closely with our in-store veterinarian to administer medications, conduct examinations, and provide general care as prescribed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient workflow.

Teamwork and Communication

Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals, while maintaining open communication channels and adapting to changing situations.

Animal Husbandry and Knowledge

Possess a strong understanding of animal behavior, physiology, and psychology, with a commitment to delivering exceptional animal care.

Time Management and Adaptability

Show flexibility in adapting to shifting priorities, managing multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines.

Education and Training:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with one to three months of related experience and/or training. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Standing and Walking

Continuously required to stand and walk throughout the workday.

Sitting and Traveling

Occasionally required to sit and travel for work-related purposes.

Finger Dexterity and Visual Acuity

Continuously required to utilize hand and finger dexterity and visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.

Lifting and Carrying

Occasionally required to lift more than 50 pounds at a time, with frequent lifting, pushing, or carrying of up to 30 pounds.
