The Human Systems Integration Engineer III plays a pivotal role in embedding human-centric considerations throughout the engineering and development phases of NAVWAR systems. This position involves conducting thorough evaluations of requirements, concepts, and resources across various domains.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic recommendations to policies and products aimed at addressing enterprise-wide procedural challenges and conflicts.

Evaluate and advise on the creation, review, and dissemination of Naval Operational Architectures (NOA), standards, competency development frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure coherence among interrelated work products throughout the RDT&E life cycle.

Engage in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of network/web-based collaboration tools and platforms to support NAVWAR engineering and business operations within RDT&E.

Offer functional expertise and technical assistance in the development of enterprise architectures to bolster Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Due to the sensitive nature of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

A degree from an ABET accredited program in an engineering discipline or a BS in physical science, engineering, or mathematics is required, along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Government-related Research and Development (R&D), Test and Evaluation (T&E), and systems acquisition programs.

At least 4 years of relevant experience in Human Systems Integration (HSI) engineering is essential, encompassing at least 3 of the following areas:

  • HSI design, installation, integration, and testing support.
  • Multi-domain HSI engineering analysis, impact assessments, and tradeoff studies of complex systems.
  • Development of design documentation and specifications.
  • HSI-related engineering requirements, performance assessments, and risk analysis.
  • HSI test planning, procedure development, execution, analysis, and reporting.
  • Understanding of Naval operations from unit to operational staff and HQ levels.
  • Conducting mission task analysis, top-down functional analysis, and critical task analysis.

Familiarity with systems of systems (SoS) interface management controls, processes, and products used to document interface standards, controlling parameters, and interface agreements is necessary.

A comprehensive understanding of the risks associated with the development and implementation of the NOA Architecture is required.

Experience in evaluating cybersecurity technical strategies to support system design and development efforts is essential.

Knowledge of certification-related functions involved in the NAVWAR Information Assurance Technical Authority mission, including Risk Management Framework (RMF), Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR), cyber risk to mission, and cybersecurity readiness is critical.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely in both written and oral presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) system documentation is advantageous.
